Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents and adult students ask before starting — grouped so you can jump straight to what you need.
Pricing & Billing
How much do online Quran classes cost per month?
Our online Quran academy fees are straightforward: $76/month ($4/class) for 30-minute classes, $180/month ($9/class) for 1-hour classes, or $300/month ($15/class) for our 90-minute all-inclusive plan — all billed monthly, Monday to Friday (weekends off). See our pricing page for the full breakdown.
Do you offer a discount for longer commitments?
Yes — 3-month plans save 10% and 6-month plans save 15% compared to paying monthly, shown right on the pricing page. See all our discounts & referral program for more ways to save.
Do you offer a discount for siblings?
Yes — families enrolling a second (or additional) child get 10% off that child's plan. Mention it when you book your trial and we'll apply it to your account. Full details on our discounts page.
We can only make weekends work — can you still teach us?
Our standard plans run Monday to Friday so our teachers get a real weekend, but we can often arrange a custom weekend-only schedule. Request a custom package and we'll quote you.
What if we genuinely can't afford the standard price?
We keep a small number of need-based discounted spots for families who can't afford the standard rate. Just mention your situation in the notes when you book a free trial and our team will follow up privately.
What happens if I negotiate a different rate?
If you ever agree a custom rate with us, we lock it to your account — future price changes on the site never silently affect an existing student.
Do you offer refunds if we miss a class?
Missed classes can usually be rescheduled — talk to your teacher or reply to your confirmation email as soon as you know you'll miss a session.
Trial & Getting Started
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — book a free trial class with no card required. We will match you with a suitable teacher and assess the right starting course.
How soon can we start after booking a trial?
We reply within 24 hours to confirm a time — most families have their trial class scheduled within a day or two.
What time zone do you teach in?
Any — during booking we ask for your time zone specifically so we can match you with a teacher whose available hours overlap with yours. Whether you're joining online Quran classes in London, taking Quran classes in Birmingham, or anywhere else in the world, we'll find a time that works.
What's the best age to start?
Most children are ready between ages 4 and 6, but readiness matters more than age. Read our full age guide.
What if the trial goes badly, or my child doesn't click with the teacher?
The trial is exactly for this — it's a no-obligation checkpoint, not a commitment. If it's not a good fit, just tell us; there's nothing to cancel and no card on file. Most "bad" trials are really about pace or nerves, so we'll happily run a second trial at a slower pace or a different time before you decide.
Safety & Teacher Vetting
Is it safe to let my child learn Quran online with a stranger?
Every teacher passes a background check, ID verification, and Ijazah review before teaching a single class. Their verified status is shown publicly on their profile — read our full safeguarding policy.
What should I look for in an online Quran teacher for my child?
Look for a visible, verifiable background check (not just a claim), a transparent public price, a real curriculum path (Qaida → Tajweed → Hifz), and a platform with logged-in dashboards — not just a booking form. See our teacher directory for examples.
Can we request a female teacher?
Yes — every class at Saba Quran is currently taught by Saba Afzal, a female, Ijazah-holding teacher who teaches in English and Urdu, so a female teacher is the default rather than a special request. Just mention any other preference when you book a trial.
Are classes recorded? What happens to my child's video and audio?
No — classes are not recorded. Video and audio only exist live during the class itself, between your child and their teacher; nothing is stored afterward.
What if we don't get along with our assigned teacher after enrolling?
Just let us know. Continuity with one teacher is what helps a child progress, so we'll first adjust the pace, the lesson style, or the class time — and you're never locked in: plans are billed monthly and you can stop at any time under our refund policy.
Curriculum & Learning
How long does Hifdh (Quran memorisation) take?
It varies by age, prior Arabic reading ability, and weekly class frequency, but most full-time Hifdh students complete memorising — or memorizing — the Quran in 2–4 years with consistent daily practice. Read our full Hifz timeline guide.
What does a class actually cover?
It depends on the plan: 30-minute classes focus on Quran reading and daily duas; 1-hour classes add Tajweed for beginners, translation, Hadith, Stories of the Sahabah, and Salah method — see the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Do you teach adults too, or only children?
Both — a large share of our students are adults learning to read Quran for the first time, whether new Muslims, reverts, or lifelong Muslims starting from scratch. See our adult Quran classes for details.
