What are Quran classes for teens?
Quran classes for teens are live, one-to-one online lessons for ages roughly 13 to 17, fitted around school and exams. They cover fluent reading, Tajweed, memorisation or revision at a pace set with the teenager, with a female teacher, parents welcome to sit in, and a free trial first.

Why teenagers need a different approach
A teenager is not a large child. Homework, exams and activities fill the week, and a teen is far more likely to commit to something they chose than something they were handed. Good teen classes therefore start with a conversation about the goal: reading fluently, perfecting recitation, or starting Hifz. They keep sessions focused, explain why each step matters, and leave room for questions.
Because lessons are live and one-to-one, the teacher can hear every mistake and correct it privately. That matters for a self-conscious teenager who has never read Arabic fluently and does not want an audience. Every class is currently taught by Saba Afzal, a female teacher with an Ijazah in Tajweed and Qira'at, who teaches in English and Urdu.
Count it, bead by bead
A tasbih is a small, familiar habit: 33, 33 and 34 after prayer. Many teenagers find that attaching Quran practice to a routine that already exists is the easiest way to keep it going. Try the beads here, then ask your teacher how to build a short daily habit.

Count the 33, 33 and 34 of the dhikr said after prayer, one bead at a time.
Match the goal to the plan
| Your teen's goal | Class focus | Plan that usually fits |
|---|---|---|
| Learn to read Arabic script | Letters, vowels and joining through Noorani Qaida, then first verses. | 30-minute class |
| Read fluently and correctly | Tajweed rules and corrected reading, with meaning where the plan includes it. | 1-hour class |
| Memorise the Quran | New lessons plus daily revision, on a steady, realistic schedule. | 90-minute class (the plan suited to the Hifz track) |
| Keep up faith practice alongside school | Quran reading and daily duas, with room to add other topics. | 30-minute class |
This is a guide only. The free trial class lets the teacher recommend a plan after hearing your teen read.
Scheduling around school and exams
Classes run Monday to Friday and the slot is agreed in your own time zone, so most teens use an early-evening slot after homework or a slot just after school. Tell us in advance when exams are coming; a lighter pattern for a few weeks is easier to arrange than a sudden gap. The find a class page can help you see which times might work. Your parent dashboard shows attendance and the teacher’s notes after each class, and parents may sit in. Classes are not recorded; the safeguarding page explains how teachers are vetted.

Frequently asked questions
What age counts as a teen for these classes?
We mean roughly 13 to 17. The path is the same as for other learners, from Noorani Qaida through reading and Tajweed to Hifz, but the pacing, the explanations and the scheduling are adapted to a teenager's week.
My teenager is a beginner and feels too old to start. What do you suggest?
Starting later is common and it is not a problem. In a 1-on-1 class nobody else is watching, so there is no peer comparison. Teenagers usually move through the early stages faster than younger children, and the teacher will explain what each step is for.
Can classes fit around school and exams?
Standard plans run Monday to Friday, so most teens use an after-school or early-evening slot. In exam periods, tell us and we will agree a lighter or different pattern where the teacher's hours allow. A weekend or bespoke schedule can be requested as a custom package.
Can I sit in on a teenager's class?
Yes, parents may sit in on any class, though many teens prefer you stay nearby rather than in the room. Classes are not recorded, and progress notes and attendance appear in the parent dashboard.
How much do the classes cost?
Plans start from $4 per class on the 30-minute plan ($76 a month for 20 classes), $9 per class on the 1-hour plan ($180) and $15 per class on the 90-minute plan ($300). Payment is by bank transfer, and a second child gets 10% off.
