What are Ramadan Quran classes?
Ramadan Quran classes online are live, one-to-one lessons that prepare you for the month of fasting: reading fluently, reciting with Tajweed or planning to complete the Quran. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, depending on moon sighting, so the time to prepare is now.

A preparation plan for Ramadan 2027
As of 5 November 2026, Ramadan is about 13 weeks away if it begins around 8 February. That is enough time to make real progress with a steady plan. Because the start depends on moon sighting, plan around the date, not to the day.
| When | Focus | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Now to late November | Choose one clear goal | Book a free trial class, share your level and agree a weekly slot. |
| December | Build the skill | Beginners: Noorani Qaida and first reading. Readers: fix mistakes and learn Tajweed. |
| January | Build the habit | Read daily at the hour you plan to use in Ramadan, and use the Quran reading planner to set a daily target. |
| The week before | Settle the schedule | Agree class times for the month with your teacher and watch for the moon-sighting announcement. |
| During Ramadan | Steady daily recitation | Keep to the daily target, use classes to correct and revise, and catch up gently if a day is missed. |
Small steps, every day
The people who get the most from Ramadan are usually those who arrive with a daily habit already in place. Ten unhurried minutes every day in the weeks before is worth more than one heroic weekend. Classes give that habit a structure, with someone to listen, correct and keep the goal honest.

Choose your Ramadan goal
| Goal | What it takes | What classes focus on |
|---|---|---|
| Learn to read before Ramadan | Starting by mid-December gives about eight weeks. See the 8-week plan. | Letters, vowels, joining, then short surahs read aloud. |
| Improve my recitation | Regular corrected reading of passages you already know. | Tajweed rules and pronunciation, applied to what you will recite. |
| Finish the Quran this Ramadan | The standard Madinah mushaf has 604 pages, so about 20 pages a day, roughly a juz. See the 30-day plan. | Fluency, pacing and fixing recurring mistakes before the month starts. |
| Revise surahs I have memorised | A revision schedule that returns to each surah often enough to keep it. | Muraja’ah, as set out on the Hifz page. |
Classes, time zones and the moon
Ramadan changes the rhythm of a day: sleep, meals and work all move. Book your slot early, say which hours you expect to be at your best, and we will confirm what the teacher can offer. Classes are live and one-to-one, Monday to Friday, and your time is agreed in your own time zone. A weekend or bespoke pattern can be requested as a custom package. Parents of younger children may prefer shorter, more frequent practice; Arabic reading for kids explains how we pace it.
New to Islam and facing your first Ramadan? Our page on Quran classes for reverts and new Muslims explains where to begin. Every class is currently taught by Saba Afzal, a female teacher with an Ijazah in Tajweed and Qira'at; see the safeguarding page for how teachers are vetted. Frequently asked questions
When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, depending on moon sighting. The exact start can differ by a day between countries and communities, so treat 8 February as a planning date and confirm locally nearer the time.
When should I start preparing?
As early as you can, and ideally at least eight weeks before Ramadan, which means about mid-December. Our eight-week plan for learning to read before Ramadan is a good guide. Starting later is still worthwhile; the plan just becomes smaller.
Can I finish the whole Quran in Ramadan with classes?
Many people aim for it, and it is possible for a fluent reader. The standard Madinah mushaf has 604 pages, so finishing in 30 days means about 20 pages a day, roughly a juz. Classes help most by fixing mistakes and keeping you steady; the daily reading is yours to do.
I am a complete beginner. Is it too late to start?
It is not too late to begin, but be realistic. A beginner can learn the letters and start reading short surahs before Ramadan, not complete the Quran. A smaller goal that you reach is better than a large one you drop in the second week.
Will classes continue during Ramadan?
Daily routines change in Ramadan for everyone, so agree your slot early and tell us which hours suit you best. Our standard plans run Monday to Friday, and a weekend or bespoke schedule can be requested as a custom package. We will confirm what the teacher can offer.
How much do the classes cost?
Plans start from $4 per class on the 30-minute plan ($76 a month for 20 classes), $9 per class on the 1-hour plan ($180) and $15 per class on the 90-minute plan ($300). Payment is by bank transfer, and the first class is a free trial.
