Tajweed is the craft of reciting every letter from its proper place with its proper qualities. Follow Surat al-Fatihah verse by verse, or turn the letter blocks to see where it all starts. Your teacher corrects your recitation live, one-to-one.

What Tajweed actually covers

Not abstract theory — whether you're a total beginner or refining advanced recitation, these are rules your teacher applies directly to your own reading, every class.

Makharij al-Huroof

The precise articulation point of every Arabic letter — where in the mouth or throat each sound is formed.

Ghunnah & Qalqalah

The nasal sound on noon and meem, and the distinct echo on specific letters carrying a sukoon.

Madd (elongation)

Knowing exactly how many counts to hold a vowel sound, and why it changes depending on context.

Ikhfa, Idgham, Iqlab, Izhar

The four rules governing a noon sakinah or tanween depending on the letter that follows it.

Tarteel (measured pace)

Reciting slowly and distinctly enough that every rule above can actually be applied correctly.

Real-time correction

Your teacher listens live and corrects mistakes as they happen — not after the fact.

Frequently asked questions

What is Tajweed?

Tajweed is the set of rules for reciting the Quran correctly: giving each letter its proper sound and applying rules such as Ghunnah and Madd.

Can a complete beginner learn Tajweed online?

Yes. Our Tajweed lessons are designed for beginners and are taught live, one-to-one, with correction as you recite.

Do I need to read Arabic before starting?

It helps to be able to read the Arabic letters first. If you cannot yet, we start with reading (Noorani Qaida) and add Tajweed as you progress.

Is Tajweed an extra cost?

No. Tajweed is part of the plan fees, so there is no separate course to buy. Our 1-hour classes add Tajweed for beginners alongside translation, Hadith, Stories of the Sahabah and Salah method.

How much do the classes cost?

Plans start from $4 per class for 30-minute classes ($76 a month), $9 per class for 1-hour classes ($180 a month) and $15 per class for the 90-minute plan ($300 a month). All plans are billed monthly with live 1-on-1 classes Monday to Friday, and prices are shown in your local currency on the pricing page.
